The gloves used by firefighters for work are roughly divided into flame retardant fire extinguishing gloves and non flame retardant work gloves.
1. Flame retardant firefighting gloves for firefighters generally use materials such as flame retardant cloth, TPU waterproof material, and genuine leather. And flame-retardant fabrics, cotton fabric materials treated with flame retardants, aramid materials, and Kevlar materials, are mainly used for fire prevention purposes; TPU waterproof material is mainly used to isolate high-temperature water vapor from entering the gloves to prevent burns to the hands of firefighters; Genuine leather is generally made of cowhide, making gloves more durable and wear-resistant.
3-layer structure, with the palm surface and the outermost layer made of wear-resistant, anti slip, anti prick, heat-insulating, and fire-resistant cowhide, providing better grip ability; The outermost layer of the back of the hand is made of 600g composite knitted double-sided fabric, made of Kevlar aramid, which has elasticity and thermal insulation and flame retardant properties; The interlayer is a waterproof layer made of flame-retardant and fire-resistant materials to prevent hands from being scalded by high temperature and high pressure water vapor (non 100% waterproof, 100% waterproof needs to be customized); The inner layer, also known as the liner, is made of elastic knitted double-sided fabric made of 300g Kevlar aramid.
2. Non flame retardant firefighter work gloves are mainly used for rescue work that does not come into contact with fire, and are mostly made of genuine leather or polyester fabric. Genuine leather is mainly made of cowhide and sheepskin. Cowhide is wear-resistant and has good toughness, making it suitable for high-intensity work, such as training. And sheepskin has elasticity, making it suitable for tasks that require more flexibility, such as competitions.
The 1909 sheepskin firefighter training gloves feature an unlined structure that is comfortable, wear-resistant, fit, and breathable.
Its palm surface is sewn with sheepskin, which is wear-resistant and elastic, suitable for high-intensity training of firefighters. The back of its hand is made of knitted fabric, which is elastic, breathable, and sweat wicking, making it more comfortable for firefighters to wear during training. Its fingernails on the back of the hand are designed with sheepskin to increase durability and make the gloves more durable. Its cuffs are designed with Velcro to prevent them from falling off easily, allowing firefighters to freely swing during training.
